A beautiful song, wonderfully performed that I was absolutely sure had zero chance of qualifying for the final, let alone cracking the top 10. I was dead wrong.

Not only did "Amar Pelos Dois" or "Love for both of us" win it's national final with ease, it also came first in it's semi final and the whole competition! I honestly didn't see it coming, and had higher hopes for Russia and Bulgaria. I mostly discounted Portugal because they've rarely placed top 10, if they qualify for the semi final at all. In their entire 48 year history at Eurovision, Portugal had yet to win. They finally ended their loss streak and the contest is finally headed to Lisbon.

Semi Final Score: 370 pts (1st place out of 18)

Final Score: 758 pts (1st place out of 26)
