There's actually some American interest with the winner in Belgrade. Co-written with Dima Bilan, this song was also written by a guy named Jim Beanz, from my home state of Pennsylvania! Dima Bilan crawling on the floor doing a poor Michael Jackson impression while a man played a violin while ice skating on a mini ice rink easily won the night of the final.

Ok, so this wasn't really my favorite in 2008, but I was happy Russia was a favorite to win. Russia hadn't exactly been one of Eurovision's favorite countries, with the country's entries usually getting booed. But Dima had already represented Russia and came 2nd that time, so his chances seemed pretty good. Obviously, he came on top with this R&B flavored pop ballad. It's sort of like if R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" and Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There" had a baby.

Semi-Final Score: 135 pts (3rd place out of 28)

Final Score: 272 pts (1st place out of 24)
