They described this simply as "German Country." Ok, I'm from an area where country is pretty popular, it's not my thing but this. This isn't like modern country, it's more like classic Country and Western. This is some Porter Wagoner stuff, something a young Dolly Parton would sing. I was in from the first minute.

The song was charmingly performed in a live performance for the preview video but I was sure it was doomed on the Eurovision stage. I was kind of right, but it didn't do that awfully. 14th wasn't bad. It was better than Germany had done the year before, so I'm sure they had to've been happy with the result. I'm just glad they sent this little diddy, having brought a tasteful bite of America to the Eurovision stage.
